The shades of Black will look very black when stamped or applied
at full strength. They become unique colors when they are brushed
or blended.
Resist embossing involves stamping and embossing with one set
of colors, then saturating the unembossed areas with direct
ink application. Stamp first with the white shades on light
colored papers, emboss, and then overlay the black inks. Buff
excess ink off embossed areas with a clean tissue.
The white shades may appear plain white on dark papers but
these subtle hues come to life on light papers or vellum. Try
stamping them on one side of vellum, then applying various colorbox
colors on the other side for a luminous see-through effect.
The subtle interplay of the Essential Shades with each other
and the new MetaleXtra colours will produce many sophisticated
moods for your creative enjoyment.
